This DASH Diet Cookbook has great information for many meals. I find that I have been mostly eating simple things and do not use the cookbook much. I stop by the store more often to pick up veggies & fruit to last a few days, as well as the other items such as meat, dairy, etc. It is easy to grab a whole grain tortilla and a lot of veggies as well as fruit for lunch and supper. I have found that eating a lot of raw veggies can be enjoyable for me, but I am far from being a vegetarian. I have a pretty active life style and do not spend much time preparing many meals, but this does provide good information so that I can do that. My spouse is also following this diet and loosing weight too. That said, I am sure most people want to cook more meals, and will provide that information.Reads like a conversation with the author and not just a cookbook. Helps to motivate me on the goal to control hypertension and cholesterol with out drugs ( or high dose) It also stand alone with out the DASH diet Solution book.Works great with the Kindle to reference the web sources found in the book

I heard about DASH diet from a friend who was suffering from hypertension. I really thought that it is only focused on that condition until I read this book. The objective is to address it yet there are other benefits that one can get if one follows the diet. The book described it in details. I like it that the author laid out the principles behind the diet to fully appreciate why one is actually undergoing the said diet. As much as I was excited about the recipes, the background info, including charts and tips, are really insightful. The added bonus, I may say, is the recipes at the end of the book.

This book has been so easy to follow and we've been happy with all the recipes we've tried so far. The ingredients are common everyday ones I had in my pantry and that makes it so much easier.
