I love these characters! They are not only fun, and the mystery keeps you guessing until the end, but the characters are so well-rounded and developed, I just enjoy reading about their lives. I wish I could live there with them. Of course, I wouldn't mind living in any of the books this author writes. Yes, there is always a murder mystery, so bad for that character, but there is so much love and fun between her main characters, it is nice to be able to escape there for a while. It always makes my day a little brighter, and this latest Ivy Morgan mystery is no exception.

I love these characters. But cmon! The constant no I love you more, reassurances, etc. it’s a theme through many of the different seriesAfter a certain point, it’s time to grow up and trust the love. Please make it time!Spoiler!Having Ivy pretend to be in the show was ridiculous. Yeah yeah, all part of the plot to uncover the killer. Just doesn’t play out.

Another great story featuring Ivy and Jack. A ridiculous t.v. show concept comes to town and the star of the show winds up dead. Ivy and Jack have to try and solve the mystery and get the producer off Ivy's back before another body drops dead! Join the snarky fun as Ivy thwarts the producer's goals and confronts a killer.

This was a great addition to the series and I'm glad to see that Ivy finally set a date. Can't wait for the wedding. Ivy's abilities continue to grow and it's nice to see her willingness to embrace them grow as well.

The quiet people of Shadow Lake are in for a treat. They are filming a reality tv show. The star vise and gets herself killed in the most brutal way. Ivy and Jack solve the case as always and have set a wedding date.

Ivy and Jack are back and just as charming as ever. This is by far the best book in the series. I love New character, Susan. Enjoyable late night read. Looking forward to Ivy's next adventure!

Lily is one of my favorite author's. I'm a fan of all of her series. Jack and Ivy,are always fun to read,I like how they respect each other yet stay true to themselves.

Really interesting and entertaining. Nice interaction between Ivy and her father.Wonderful cozy style mystery. I recommend all her books.

My nine year old loves this series. I decided to read this volume to find out why my son finds Dog Man so entertaining.What I found is that there isn’t anything too mysterious about its appeal. A mix of sympathetic characters, gross-out scenes and a bland but well-meaning moral seem to be the formula for its success. The emphasis on bodily humor will probably make the book more suitable for a boy than a girl.But perhaps a review by a child would be more apt than a forty-something’s opinion. He thought it was good but not great. Dog Man is a good choice if you are looking for a book that your pre-teen will read without having to apply any pressure. But don’t expect anything too substantial in the text.

This lovely book came Monday 12/24. My 8 yo and 6yo have already devoured it.My 6yo is not a confident reader. He’s great at reading but doesn’t seem to trust his own abilities. Something really clicked with him a week ago and this kiddo binge read all 5 Dog Man books so he would be caught up for #6.I love how these books spark a love of reading and a lot of laughs.

My 8 year old son was excited to read his new book but we both quickly realized that it was not appropriate for him. There is no reason for there to be multiple pages of nothing but a dog puking violently everywhere. What is my kid getting out of that? In addition, my son even found it somewhat hard to read because of the horrible english it uses. It combines words together to form words that don't even exist which is not what a second grader needs to practice reading! I tried to return this as my son is refusing to read it after the puking dog pages but return shipping was more than I paid for the book to begin with. Do yourself a favor and get your child something worthwhile to read and skip this horrible book.

My son loves these books! We pre-ordered this book for him so he could continue his collection. This one was one of his favorites so far. He literally laughs out loud and loves reading them with his dad. Any book that has my kids excited to read is a great accomplishment in my opinion!

Contrariwise, Dav Pilkey’s Dog Man wonderfully embodies all things related to our unfavorable human tendencies that cloud our wondrous potential abilities - insecurity, disappointment, loneliness, and diffidence as deeply felt by Pilkey himself as a child diagnosed with Dyslexia and ADHD at school.Pace the generalization of the book as being intent for children, this book is inclusive of literature, philosophy, philosophy, and sociology contextualized in the story and delineated in the characters without gravitas of the academia. Take Dog Man, who finds himself estranged from his colleagues at his police station except his boss, Chief. Dog Man cannot talk for the reason because he’s a dog with a human body used to belong to his K-9 policeman killed in action. As the title "The Brawl of the Wild" adumbrates, Dog Man is in a way reminiscent of Buck, the sled dog in Jack London’s classic The Call of the Wild that comes to term with his fate and even reconciliation with a treacherous human in the person of Thornton. Then there are Petey, who is supposedly a sinister jailbird, but in fact softy inside, his cute young son Li’l Petey, who never gives up on his jail- bound father Petey in his joint collaboration with Dog Man in rescue operation of the city, and stern but benevolent Chief, who seems to defend Dog Man against unjust and unfair treatments from his fellow policeman/policewomen and the pompous judge. Wisecraking and heartwarming, hilarious and sentimental, intelligent and vivacious, each of the chapters is smoothly linked to the next one with amusing in-between intermissions that deserves of the separate theaters of appreciation.The book is an enjoyable parade of laugh and compassion wrapped up in delightful amusement of vivid colors and elegant dialogues, which can be made possible by an insightful and observant author who stands with the reader and sees hope and goodness mired in the despair of hopelessness and powerlessness at the heart of humanity. My son unwrapped this book and was entranced by it. He has never read a book as long as he did for this book. How often do you see a 7 year-old ready 110 pages by themselves out loud without being asked? I read the book after he did and its very funny. We love the series and this latest addition is just as memorable as the others. Thank you for making a great book for all ages!

This series is a huge hit in our home. We preordered this one as a Christmas gift for our son and he reads it every night. He finishes it and then starts over. It definitely encourages him to read. He finds the book hilarious and wants to read what happens to family members and friends to share laughs. The only downfall is that he stays up too late in his room reading and laughing after bedtime. :)

My 7-year-old grandson got this for Christmas. With all his expensive gifts he could have chosen to play with first, he took off to a quiet place in the house and started this book! What a WIN for parents & grandparents trying to get him to enjoy reading! With interruptions, he was still half-finished when they left for home! He loves these books! After introducing the historical literature, the text examines the several important concepts and models that are found in the early literature. In particular the internal pathways of the extraordinary vessels are discussed in detail. Mental and emotional correspondences and concepts in East Asian medicine are also discussed. The source theories of the Ling Shu and especially the Nan Jing are described in some detail. The concepts of the moving qi between the kidneys and the triple burner are described at great length, and in more detail than in most other books. Historical ideas about the anatomical basis of the triple burner and the channel systems, and speculations about the embryological development of these systems are also described. Modern anatomical correlates are postulated, examining the possible anatomical basis of the channel systems, extraordinary vessels, triple burner and moving qi between the kidneys, including detailed discussions about possible embryological correlations. Although speculative in nature, these discussions compile a wide and very interesting variety of theories that can extend our understanding of acupuncture. The clinical chapters of the text describe basic methods of examining the hara, the various palpatory findings and their general interpretations. This is followed by a large chapter on abdominal shiatsu, and a compilation of traditional Japanese massage methods. The use of hara diagnosis in meridian therapy and especially in the work of Dr. Yoshio Manaka are detailed. The last two chapters extend Manaka's ideas compiling a variety of clinically useful ideas and methods including the system of open points. These chapters on the work of Manaka serve as a good introduction to the use of ion-pumping cords, and Manaka's general treatment approach.

Bought this for my preteen kids to learn some about tennis. It is a pretty simple book, which works well for the kids.

Bought this for my grandkids.

This book contains everything a player and parent need to know in order to begin playing tennis. The illustrations provide an excellent opportunity to see what strokes should look like as well as providing detailed information about the court itself and rules. As a high school tennis coach I believe all beginning players regardless of age would benefit tremendously from reading this book before ever stepping onto a court. Often times I hear parents say they wished they knew more about the game when watching their child play. Let's Play Tennis is also the perfect place for parents to gain basic knowledge of rules, scoring, and tennis etiquette so they can provide positive support for their child. As a parent myself, I spend time weekly reading this book with my four and six year old children so they can learn to love the game of tennis as much as I do. They really appreciate the illustrations and have already both set the goal of trying to beat me. If you or your child have any interest in learning a game you can play together forever this book is a must have!

My kids love this book! They want more stories from Andy Ace!!! I promise you that from a mother's perspective (my son is 5 years old & daughter is 4) this book delivers to BOTH the parent & the child. It is easy to read & truly helped me learn how to help teach my children tennis AND my kids loved following Andy's tennis journey throughout the book. The kids are captivated by the colorful pictures & easy to understand descriptions and they are left at the end of the book asking me for another Andy Ace story! Wonderfully put together. I enjoyed the series of books I love reading it's one of my favorite pastimes. I really enjoy it when it's a series and it goes from one story into another related to the first in the second all the way through. Sometimes I wish that then still the story just ending like a dead it would go a little further into how the relationship has gone on further with the the sisters and their spouses and how they all interact together it would have been a good and in for the whole book could have probably been a whole chapter on that.

The novels D'Ann Lindun writes warms the heart with her stories of tragedies turning to joy and love. I love cowboy romance and find that I get hooked on authors like D'Ann Lindun because though you know there will be a happy ending the mystery to how you get there thrills me. All her books are a must read.

I'm so happy that I found another series of books by these authors. They tie into the Cowboy Up series and it has been fun finding out what has happened to a lot of the characters. Great job keeping the story lines going and keeping the reader's interest. I'm hoping to find more of these story lines by the same authors. Thank you for the wonderful stories.

D'Ann always makes me feel like I am right there observing her characters. I enjoy the strong men and feisty women in her books. Each book is an easy read and makes you want to stay up all night to read the whole series.

This series inspires to put love and family first, no matter what life throws!! Each book is written differently yet all are alike as in values, convictions and overcoming. Must read!!

I have read Shiloh's Song and I love it. D'Ann's character's are so real that I enjoyed everything about this story. Shiloh sings her way into Dillon Travers heart, well not just her singing. Shiloh holds her own as a ranch hand on his horse rescue farm.I enjoyed this one so much, I cannot wait to read the rest. Awesome. ***I will update this as I go through the books.
