Ms. Wrigley is a wonderful author with a wry sense of humor--every now and then her descriptions would make me chuckle. Of course the subject matter is not amusing, but her descriptions and concise and well informed and sometimes the foolishness that gets aviators into some of these situations was quite amusing. I would love to read the next book whenever it comes out. Highly recommended.
I'm a big fan of Sylvia Wrigley's blog, Fear of Landing, and her previous e-books. Her latest, Without A Trace, is excellent.Sylvia's writing style draws me in in a way that is hard to describe (at least in an Amazon review). Each chapter in Without A Trace narrates the events leading up to the frantic and confused last moments of pilots, passengers, and aircraft. Sylvia has the research chops of an investigative reporter and a gift for aviation prose that brings to mind Ernest Gann.I very definitely recommend this book!Dan
Fantastic story -- well, not so much a "story" as the complete facts about what happened to the aircraft and personnel who disappeared and what they have discovered over the years. Totally engrossing and a must for people who already know the ins and outs of aircraft and those who face the dangers! I'm looking forward to the 2nd edition that was promised at the end of this book!
I found her English clear and easy to read. I was fascinated with all the infomration about the different incidents which gave me a sense of security because the author had obviously done a lot of research. Because she is a pilot herself she wrote with authority. Altogether a well informed read.
An amazing book about airplanes, their crashes and for some their ultimate disappearances which in most cases are not or cannot be explained!!Paranormal readers will enjoy!!
Love the story for each incident. Enjoyed the stories before 1950 best. Learned something new about area 51. Pilots will enjoy too
I recall some of these but very interesting to hear now what they know about at least some of these. Some are not surprising but the research that the author did is revealing.
